MoH Foundation Day and Institute Days

MOH-TIW celebrates Institute and Foundation Day

The educating community celebrated the 145th anniversary of foundation of the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians through a Eucharistic Celebration presided by Fr. Jun Paradiang, SDB, and a thanksgiving program to the sisters of the Santa Teresa D’Avila Community. The Institute was founded on August 5, 1872 in Mornese, Italy, by St. John Bosco and St. Mary Domenica Mazzarello

Every year MOH-TIW celebrates the foundation of the Institute primarily through a Eucharistic celebration, a program and a sports fest. This year’s Foundation Day theme is “Missionaries of Hope and Peace”.  Activities including the prayer service, cheer dance, team building, peace manifesto and cultural presentations challenged and raised the students’ understanding of what peace entails. This includes humility, forgiveness, communication, trust, acceptance and respect for people’s differences.

Peace is a precious gift from God which we must protect and promote as He has made us its stewards.  May God grant His peace to all of us.
